    A worn 101st Airborne patch attributed to WWII/Korea Vet and Purple Heart recipient Maj. Otto J. Laier of the 326 Airborne Engineers Battalion.
    He is mentioned in "A Rendezvous With Destiny" and "Hell's Highway" in reference to his break through to get medical supplies, but subsequently being shot and briefly captured.
