Description
This is a 1691-94 Scotland 1 Bodle (2 Pence) Copper Coin in Circulated Condition. This coin has some obvious signs of wear and some what looks likes maybe whitish or really light green stuff on each side (environmental damage) between elements of the design. The details are nice; although, there is a little missing portion where the date would be. The obverse shows a "crowned 'WM' monogram" for the ruling authority of William II and Mary II with edge lettering that translates "D/G/MAG/BR/FR/ET/HIB/REX/ET-->By the Grace of God, King and Queen of Great Britain, France and Ireland". The reverse shows a "crowned thistle" with edge lettering that translates "NEMO/ME/IMPVNE/LACESSET-->No one shall hurt me with impunity". The coin is maybe a hair bigger than a United States Penny in diameter. Please use your own best judgement to determine the grade/quality of the coin and see each picture before purchasing!
**NOTE: The coin pictured is the one you will receive. Please keep in mind that the coin was photographed at DIFFERENT ANGLES under the same FLUORESCENT light in order to showcase the coin's quality and uniqueness.
