    Description

    This bronze coin is a 1931 1/12 Shilling, or equivalent of one penny, produced in the Island of Jersey.  Jersey is a self-governing island under the protection of the United Kingdom.  This coin has King George VI on the reverse and the Shield of Arms on the obverse, with the shield separating the States of Jersey and the denomination at the bottom.  This coin has a weight of 9.5 grams and a diameter of 30.8 mm.  It also has the very low mintage of 204,000.  If I were you, I would also consider starting a collection of the Jersey coins if you have not already.  Thanks for looking!
