LIGHTNING WILL STEAL SOME OF THE THUNDER
    IN NEW BOND THRILLER
At first sight the bike parked in front
of the Aston Martin DB 5 looks innocent
enough, but, as the close up of the front
forks shows, it is no ordinary machine.
It started out as a standard 650cc BSA
Lightning. Grooming by the Special Effects
    Department at Britain’s Pinewood Studios
soon altered that, and it emerged fully
    equipped with rocket-firing apparatus for
its part in the new James Bond film
“Thunderball” — due for release in the
    autumn.
The Aston Martin is another unusual
roadster,, which made news during the film-
ing of 007’s duel with the late Ian Flem-
    ing’s twentieth-century Midas "Goldfinger.”
History has a habit of repeating itself, and
no doubt the Lightning will soon be equally
    famous!
