American Landmarks UHR Liberty Island 2 oz silver

Description

The American Landmarks series was created to celebrate important American landmarks thru coinage.  The Liberty Island 2 oz silver round is a tribute to The Statue of Liberty and what Lady Liberty stands for.  Standing in front of a billowing American flag, Lady Liberty represents freedom and an ideal way of life that may be fading.  When I first saw this round, I was inspired by the image of Lady Liberty and impressed by the artistic way that the flag was shown.  Silver is not always the best canvas for pictures but it feels like the flag is moving.
Done in ultra high relief, I think this is the best of the series.  I kept these in the original mint tubes until recently when I transferred them to black ring capsules.
