Antique 1876 Germany 812 Silver Chalice Neo Gothic Jeweled 468g 15ozt

Description

We are pleased to present an antique silver chalice, made in Germany and engraved 1876. The chalice has the marks for Conrad Anton Beumers in Düsseldorf and "13" which was the silver standard for 812/1000. The chalice stands 8.5" tall with a 4.375" diameter at cup lip, and 6.25" across at the base. It weighs 468g (15-ozt). The segments in the middle are just very slightly loose on their screw, which is as tight as I can make it at the base. Beautiful engravings at the base with Gothic features and inset stones on the stem. It has an overall light goldwash (vermeil) but it has been worn down a little over time. Shows some overall light wear and scuffs and light bumps; small ding at edge of foot. Overall, a stunning piece.
