Antique c1860 Kemp Family Heraldic Armorial Coat Of Arms Oil Painting

We are pleased to present an antique c1860 oil painted crest, featuring the Latin motto "Lucem Spero."

The half shield on the left is Kemp family; I have not been able to determine the right half of the shield. The antique wooden frame measures 12" x 13.5" with a visible art window (oval) 6.75" x 8.25". The surface of the painting has wrinkled over the years; there are a few small losses to the painted surface. The gilt matte shows some bumps and dings as there was previously glass in this frame but it is gone. The frame shows some bumps, wear, and small losses.
