antique vintage brass - on - wood hand made Bible book adjustable stand lion

This is an antique hand crafted brass on wood adjustable bookends Bible stand.  Magnify the pictures and you can see the excellent craftsmanship in making this.  Sheets of brass were stamped then formed and attached to the wood foundations using minute brass tacks.  As you can see from the pictures brass finish has some 'patina' areas..the brass itself is structurally excellent, no breaks or cracks.    One small crack in the wood of the foundation but still structurally solid.  One of the supports on the bottom is missing.   Length is 16 1/2" when closed, 24" when extended. Fold-down supports are 5" tall.  The outer slides are a little loose, I did notice a couple of brass tacks missing that might cause this but works fine as is.  Very elaborate piece, some tlc and polishing and this could shine like the star it was originally made to be.  Great piece to display your prized Bible(s) or book(s).  Insured shipping is .00 to lower 48 states
