Offered . .......a beautiful antique
Art Nouveau Hairbrush with a full figural woman & rose motif.
The piece is marked
DERBY SILVER CO
with a barely legible US patent date of 1904. This large brush is silverplated, though Derby did make sterling pieces, as well.
The brush is about 8 3/4 inches long by 3 3/8 inches at its widest by about 1 3/4 inches tall.
The piece is in very good pre-owned condition with a couple minor splits to the silver on the underside where it wraps around the bristles. There are 2 clusters of bristles missing out of the 100+ bristle clusters .
