    Byzantine lead seal
    of Stefanos (?) patrikios and strategos of Boukellarioi

    A nice interesting historically seal!
    Obv.: Six-rayed star in the centre with letters at the end of the rays, and
    circular inscription
    comprising the name of the owner, possibly Stefanos (Steven),
    double dotted border with larger dots in between.
    Rev.:
    Inscription in 4 (?) lines, ΠΑΤΡ[ΙΚ/ΙΟΥ]SCΤΡΑ/ΤΙΓ,ΤΟΝ/RΟΥΚΕΛ, = Πατρικίου καὶ στρατηγοῦ τῶν Βουκελλάρων (Patrikios and strategos of Boukellarioi theme),
    double dotted border with larger dots in between.
