The FD-2 film projector was quite popular during the Soviet era. The Electromechanical Association EKRAN was produced in Moscow. It uses a bright K6-30-1 lamp and a good periscope lens, which provide fairly good brightness and image quality across the entire frame. The maximum image size when the filmoscope is installed at 4 meters from the screen is 1.7 meters diagonally.
FD-2 is intended only for viewing filmstrips. Classic film filling. The filmstrip is inserted into a removable frame with rubber rollers and after viewing it comes out from behind from below.
The front legs are height adjustable. And at the bottom on the bottom there is a compartment with a fuse, which is a voltage switch for 127 / 220V. Such a switch may still be useful today for use with a filmoscope in the USA or Japan, where the voltage is 110V. The lamp fixture is designed so that it is convenient to adjust it in all directions. Moreover, all these directions are fixed by separate screws.
The device is in excellent working order. The packaging and passport have not been preserved. The set includes an additional 5 filmstrips on a hard subject. A good find for a collector.
