Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary dedication w. photos, Pittsburgh PA, 1949

This is an original program and six 8X10 photos for the dedication of The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Byzantine Rite Catholic Church on October 23, 1949 along Beechwood Blvd. in the Greenfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. At that time, it was known as Nativity of Our Lady. Sadly, the lovely building shown on the program has not housed a church congregation since 2010. The six photos were tucked inside the program and appear to show this church and its neighborhood. Together, the program and photos would be of great interest to anyone interested in the history of the area, or of the church in particular; perhaps you even know someone (or you
are
someone) in the photos. Stamps on the backs of the photos say "Photo by Peter Fialla 671 Rivermont Dr. Pittsburgh 7 [now 15207] PA." The program contains photos of pastors and members of the parish, photos of the building under construction, many ads for local businesses, and a history of the parish.
Overall, the program is in good condition. You'll notice in my first three photos that the covers have stains, smudges, and wrinkles, and there is noticeable wear along the spine, including a split more than an inch long at the bottom of the spine. Inside, the pages are clean, smooth, crisp, and not marked in any way. The six photos are all clear and crisp, and they have some wear along their edges and at their corners.
