On Her Majesty's Secret Service ORIGINAL One Sheet Movie Poster James Bond.
Here is your chance to invest in some original James Bond movie memorabilia! This poster, which measures 27"x41", is from the original 1969 release of Her Majesty's Secret Service. The movie stars the underrated George Lazenby as James Bond, the uber-sexy and talented Diana Rigg as Mrs. James Bond, and Telly Savalas as one of the greatest Bond villains of all time - Ernst Stavro Blofeld!. The poster lay out is stunning - one of the better Bond posters in this regard. You have the psychedelic 60's lettering and great action paintings of the cast. The poster is intact and in good condition. It has the usual crease folds and holes that are common with posters of the era (these one sheets were handled often by cinema employees and PR departments). The only blemish on the poster is some water staining in the bottom left (see photo). Because of that water stain I would say this poster would be a prime candidate for linen backing (for those not familiar with linen backing, it is an archival process where the poster is mounted on linen using acid free materials. Once linen backed, the poster is smooth - virtually no creases - and that water stain should disappear, as well). You can email me if you need the name of a good linen backer/ restorer.
