DRY-MOUNTED
original, U.S. 3-Sheet poster measuring 37 ½” x 75” (trimmed borders) for the 1968 Italian western classic, “Once Upon a Time in the West”, directed by Sergio Leone (the Clint Eastwood “A Fistful of Dollars”; “For a Few Dollars More”; “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”), starring Henry Fonda, Claudia Cardinale, Charles Bronson and Jason Robards. Before dry-mounting the poster was in near excellent condition. Dry-mounting is a procedure often done by framing companies that places a sheet of dry glue between the piece and the white cardboard backing and bonds them together in a hot press, and is considered permanent. Priced accordingly. It does have the advantage of flattening out the folds without having the piece either linen-backed or paper-backed which are both more costly archival methods performed by a professional poster restorer.
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY FOR US TO MAIL THE DRY-MOUNTED POSTER DUE TO SIZE.
A winning local bidder would have to arrange local pick-up of the poster. The winner will need to arrange their own transport (such as an S.U.V., station wagon or truck; please measure your vehicle -- it will not fit in the back seat of most standard cars due to width and length); we have no method of transporting the dry-mounted poster for the winner. In our other auctions we’re offering dry-mounted posters for “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” and “For a Few Dollars More” which would also require local pick-up along with a variety of additional movie memorabilia.
