    Description

    This is a beautiful porcelain WOODPECKER made in Germany in the 1930's.  The figurine measures about 7 1/2" High. There is a mark on the back of the piece # 5517.  These have been referred to as flower frogs due to the 4 holes in the front of the tree stump the woodpecker is sitting atop.There is very nice attention to detail.  The tree stump that the woodpecker sits on has a Lady Bug crawling up the tree.The piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.  There is a tiny rub of black paint off the tip of the beak and what I think is called flea bites on the back of the head.  See photos for further details.
