2 troy oz .999 Fine Silver “
The Plank” Ultra High Relief
Round
by the Elemetal Mint.
I have used
my “Custom Antique Finish System” in addition, I have used a selective 24K gold electroplating and I have inserted this round in a new capsule with black ring.
When a ship captain discovered that one of his underlings was derelict in his duties or interested in a mutiny, the common sentence was to send that individual down the plank. With their hands bound behind their back, that individual stood little chance of surviving once tossed overseas into Davey Jones locker.
As the fifth release in the Privateer Series, the Elemetal Mint continues its trek through the life of high-seas drifters with another stunning design. This follows in the release of the pirate-themed designs of the overall series, including the use of the common reverse design elements.
The reverse side of the 2 oz Elemetal The Plank Ultra High Relief Silver you'll find the image of the pirate ships wheel, featuring a rope wrapped around the wheel and a human skeleton set in the very center. The pirate motto No Prey, No Pay is featured on this side along with the weight, purity, and metal content of the round.
On the obverse of each Elemetal The Plank Ultra High Relief is the image of a poor soul who’s been sentenced to death by walking the plank. As the pirate captain stands behind him with a gun and sword out to push him along, the mutineer approaches the edge of the plank with his eyes covered and hands bound behind his back.
Each of these 2 oz Elemetal The Plank Ultra High Relief Silver Rounds is a high-relief striking, which requires a silver blank to be struck multiple times to create the 3D finish that helps bring the imagery to life on the round.

CERTIFICATES OF AUTHENTICITY

Per one of my very kind repeat buyer’s request and recommendation, I have been including a document that certifies that the antique finish on each one of my silver coins or silver rounds listed, has been applied and burnished by me personally. I will sign and date one certificate for each coin or round sold. Although this process is not “rocket science” each person has their own methods and techniques that differentiate themselves from others. Whether mine is better is totally subjective. I have shown this certificate in my last photos. (Note that these may change or improve in the future) This has been updated again as of October 9

, 2020 to include the “Simply Fine Silver” logo on the upper left corner and an overall new design by Alberto Mendoza who also created the SFS logo and who specializes in 3 D designs. Thus far my buyers want this document, therefore I will continue to include it.
Note About my “
Custom Antique Finish System”.
This is a chemical process that darkens the silver and then I expose the higher relief areas as I see fit. This is not a layer of something applied to the silver. His is identical to the systems used by the major bullion dealers on all their coins and rounds. The method and degree of burnishing is what sets me apart from others in my opinion.
