    Obverse: Bust of Christ facing, cross behind head; He wears pallium and colobium, raises right hand in benediction, and holds book of Gospels in left; in upper field, C – C; in lower field, IC – XC.
    Reverse: Cross, with globule and two pellets at each extremity; beneath, large crescent; around, four globules, each surrounded by pellets.
    Alexius I was the Byzantine emperor during the time of the First Crusade.
