    Description

    This is a gorgeous vintage religious scapular.  One side has an image of a Saint Benedict statue embroidered into place with gold metallic thread. The other scapular shows a mitre and cozier, reflecting his position as abbot, and a raven. The raven represents a story of St. Benedict's life where he avoided being poisoned by asking a friendly raven to take away a tainted loaf of bread.
