    Description

    SET 3 BAMBOO FLUTES Signed Tuned
    Obtained at an estate sale that had many vintage items. I don't know Chinese but did notice that the configuration of the holes in these flutes are like Chinese dizi flutes. Each of the three flutes bears at the top end KCF 112, carved in red.
    Then a dragon likeness is carved in red, green and white. Beneath that on each flute are Chinese characters - the signature? At the other end is another character in a square, as pictured.
    Open at both ends, each flute has 10 holes.
    The longest flute is 19-3/4" and 7/8" in diameter. It has the letters D and A carved. The middle flute is 17-1/2" and 3/4" in diameter. The letters (assuming for tuning) are F and C. The smallest flute measures 16" long and is 5/8" in diameter. The letters on it are G and D.
    The flutes come in an orange box that has a paste-on label with blue leaf design and Chinese characters most probably, giving the maker identity.
    The flutes appear to be in very good condition. There is a wood split line in the longest flute but it seems to be surface and may have always been there. The box has bends to it and wear at the extremities.
