    There is some nice toning on the coin which I tried to capture in the pictures. The bust on the halfgroat is unique to the first few years of minting, as most James I halfgroats are of the variety with crowned rose/thistle on the obverse/reverse. I would say the flan is slightly irregular (wavy) - attempted to capture in pictures. Overall a very nice coin.
