VINTAGE 1971 "NEW PENCE" 2p QUEEN ELIZABETH II COIN GREAT BRITAIN COIN

I am helping a friend disperse of items from her grandfathers estate. In it was a box of old coins and paper money, so I will be listing about 100 different coins and paper money  in the weeks to come so please keep watching my site. First, let me say I am NO Coin (Or Currency) collector nor do I know the terminology to use in describing the coins/currency so please bear with me.  This particular coin is a  1971 NEW PENCE 2p British Elizabeth II Coin.  Also says D.G. Reg F.D. 1971 Elizabeth II on the one side and on the other New Pence 2. It's circulated as it does show some wear. Seems redish to me so not sure if its Bronze or what.
