    Description

Perfect for the MCM collector, this vintage 1950’s Optic Mfg Corp slide projector features a peacock blue case and cord and state of the art (1958) projection ability. Designed by James Parcher, the case is made of Marlex- a polymer touted as “nondestructable” in 1950’s advertising.
The projector is in good working condition. The fan runs automatically when projector cord is plugged into electricity. The light works brightly. Glass inner lens appears dusty, and I did not remove the bottom plate to clean. The unit measures 14” long, 8.5” wide and 6” high with case cover applied. The projector has an adjustable height adapter. The blue case has a scratch on one section of the top (see photos). The projector appears clean, but may have dust as I have not cleaned it.
The slide holder is labeled Kodak Readymatic Changer. The lens is adjustable and labeled OPTACOR SPECIAL F :3.5 4” F.L. COATED. The switch plate identifies 300 watt lamp max. The entire unit weighs almost 7 lbs.
