    Description

You are bidding on a WWII U.S. Army Air Force 14th Air Force patch. The patch is gold and silver bullion metallic thread sewn on a dark blue felt backing. Measures about 3 inches in diameter. Has old snaps on the back, SO EITHER SNAPPED ON MAYBE A JACKET OR USED AS A HAT BADGE BACK THEN   the metallic threads appear somewhat tarnished with age, but is otherwise in good condition without moth holes or loose stitching. This patch was worn on the left shoulder of the Class A uniform tunic by WWII 14th Army Air Force personnel. They were known as the famous "Flying Tigers" and based in China, so most likely foreign made  FLYING TIGERS commanded by Gen. Claire Chenault. I obtained this and other patches from an estate sale and my information is based on some research I have done if you have any additional info its always welcomed.
